Victron - Cloudlink connection

Modified on Fri, 10 Mar, 2023 at 12:01 PM

When setting up a Victron System with a Cloudlink, the device settings should look like the screenshot below.

The CAN cable will go from the Cloudlink’s CAN port to the Cerbo-GX or Venus GX’s VE-CAN port (see  example below). They need to use a Victron Type B cable (see screeshot below) or a cable with the same wiring.

The customer needs to ensure that the Max Charge Voltage on ALL the Victron devices is set appropriately. This includes the Victron Inverter, Solar Charger (MPPT), and the Venus/Cerbo GX device.

The customer will have to refer to Victron documentation to see how to do this.

If the Victron system is only charging the batteries to 52.5 V then it is likely that the Max Charge Voltage has not been set on one of the Victron devices.

Please take a look at Victron’s setup guide for Pylontech to get an idea of what a Victron setup looks like

(As an aside, please note we are still busy testing new Cloudlink Software with the AM5s.)
